Photovoltaics: made to last. The 40 years of the TISO PV plant – looking back to see the future
27th September 2022, 10:30 – 12:00
MiCo Milano Convention Centre, Piazzale Carlo Magno 1, Gate 14, 20149 Milan (Auditorium Yellow 3, first floor)
At the WCPEC-8 (8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion) – to be held from 26 to 30 September 2022 in Milan – the Institute of Applied Sustainability to the Built Environment organizes a conference on the topic of longevity and quality of photovoltaic modules. The 40-year history of the TISO 10 kW photovoltaic system will be reviewed and the recent SUPSI publication “Photovoltaics: made to last.
The 40 years of the TISO PV plant’ will be presented, taking a look at the past, the present and above all the
future of photovoltaic technology.
Topic
Taking inspiration from the publication “Photovoltaics: made to last. The 40 years of the TISO PV plant “, which will be presented on this occasion, the parallel event will feature the participation of some of the authors and a discussion on the past, present, and future of photovoltaics.
We will move from the early industrialization, policies, and reliability standards, to the present situation, and answer together with the authors questions about the challenges for the acceleration of a PV future and the importance of the experience from the past. The strategic topic of bringing the PV industry back in Europe will be at the center of discussion.
